Hello evryone, so today im going to do an exam about procedyre text and i got a perfect score. But before that, let's have a quick review about procedure text

Procedure text is text designed to describe how something is done/achieved through a sequence of actions or steps. There are three elements that make up a procedure text as shown in the chart below:
• Social function
Provide information/instructions on how to achieve the best results efficiently,
avoid accidents, damage, waste, etc.

• Text structure
- Destination
- Materials
- Steps (steps)

• Linguistic elements
- Grammar: imperative, negative and positive sentences
- Phrases and vocabulary commonly used in manuals and tips
- Singular and plural nouns with or without a, the, this, those, my, their, etc.
- Speech, stress, intonation, spelling, sign reading and handwriting

Procedure text has a social function to describe an order or instructions on how something is done/achieved in order or the correct steps.

Procedure text structure consists of Goal, Material and Step. The linguistic elements contained in the procedure text include: present tense, imperative, action verb, connectives and adverb.

linguistic features of procedure text:

1. This text discusses facts about making or using something, so we need to use the simple present tense.

2. Since we need to explain some steps, we must use imperative sentences. Example sentences in procedure text are add 5 onion, get some yeast and pan. The most important thing, my friend, the command sentence must begin with a verb (verb). Examples are mix, stir, boil, add, turn on, get, and so on.

3. In procedure text, when we want to explain the steps of making/using, there are times when we need to connect one sentence to another. Therefore, we need conjunctions / connectors. For example: first, second, after that, then, finally, lastly, and so on.

4. To provide an adverb of time or duration of manufacture in procedure text, we use adverbs. Examples are in 5 minutes, for an hour, and so on. In addition, we can also use adverbs of manner. For example: slow, fast, fast, strong, etc.
