CHAPTER 2 PART 2 THOUGHT

 ❃.✮:▹ ◃:✮.❃Giving a thought❃.✮:▹ ◃:✮.❃

Hello everyone so welcome back to my blog, so today we going to talk about thought, and how to giving a thought. I'm doing some exercise too,So let's begin

What is a thought?

“an idea or opinion produced by thinking, or occurring suddenly in the mind.”

How to express it?

Get the main idea of what you wish to convey. Express it first and then support it with explanation. If there is a need to reason out, go ahead and supply the reason for choosing your point.

Convey the right tone for the conversation. This makes it easy to express the meaning of what you are saying.

Keep it simple, but not overly simple. They say that the more you talk, the more mistakes you get. However, simply giving a one or two-liner statement will possibly leave your listener hanging and leave the person confused about your intentions.

Make it a point to ask if your listener understood, to check comprehension and active listening. Never assume that the other party fully understands you.

Here are some example of giving a thought:

- Ask me again tomorrow. I'll have to give it some thought.

- She doesn't give any thought to her appearance.

- Let me have your thoughts on that report by Friday.

- Spare a thought for (= think about) all those without shelter on a cold night like this.

- He's the author of a book on the history of European thought.

- You sent her a card? That was a kind thought.

What's the diffrence between thought and opinion?

A thought is something you can have about anything like for example “I am hungry” is a thought you could have to yourself when you are alone and hungry. Or if you are watching TV and you see a pretty girl or guy “they are cute” is a thought you can have to yourself.

An opinion is a thought but normally it is one that you express to others who might not think the same thing. Like “I am hungry” is a fact even if you say it to someone else but “they are cute” is an opinion when shared with a friend because your friend might not think they are cute, making it an opinion

Now let's talk about my exercise:

Task 1. Look at the jumbed sentence below! Arrange them into good dialogue!

B : Yeah. Once, one of my good friends lied to me. He was a really good friend,

and I just felt completely betrayed. It destroyed the friendship.

B : In my opinion friends need to be completely honest. One little lie and the

friendship just disappears.

A : Some people say friends are always honest with each other. What do you

think?

A : Ah, that’s pretty strong language. Do you really think that?

𝗔𝗻𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗿:

Task 2. Read the following Context! Then, brainstorm the ideas and give your opinion based on that context.

𝗔𝗻𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗿:

As Rudy, write a letter to Benny giving response and opinion about his problem.

Here are my explanation video about a thought and i make a dialogue of giving a thought:
